The 2018 Annual Soup-to-Go Sale was a delicious success!
Several ladies of the Larison’s Corner Church banded together to make six different kinds of soup, each one more delicious than the other.
The soup flavors were: Chicken Corn Chowder, Manhattan Clam Chowder, New England Clam Chowder, Potato Dill, Vegetable Beef and Vegetarian Vegetable.
Almost 260 quarts were sold to hungry patrons who must agree that soup is always a good choice on chilly November days.
The few quarts of soup that were left over were delivered to a local nursing home.
There was also a bake table comprised of delicious desserts and breads:
Pies: coconut custard pie, apple crumb, cherry crumb, blueberry crumb and shoe fly pie Breads: banana, cranberry, apple walnut and zucchini
Cookies: Cranberry Orange Shortbread, Amaretto Almond, Thumb Print, Polish Kolacky, Coconut Macaroon, Snickerdoodle and Original Chocolate Chip
(Several people stated they freeze the baked goods for the holidays.)
If you missed these delicious treats, look for us next November!
